📝 Product Description
FAXCOSS is a high-strength Rifaximin 400mg tablet designed to effectively manage gastrointestinal infections, hepatic encephalopathy, traveler’s diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). As a non-absorbable, broad-spectrum antibiotic, Rifaximin works locally in the gut to eliminate harmful bacteria while preserving systemic safety and minimizing resistance.
Rifaximin acts by inhibiting bacterial RNA synthesis, leading to the suppression of pathogenic gut flora such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, and Clostridium difficile. Due to its poor gastrointestinal absorption, FAXCOSS remains confined to the gut lumen, ensuring potent local action with minimal systemic side effects, making it safe for long-term use under medical supervision. Â Our Products
It is particularly beneficial in reducing ammonia-producing bacteria in hepatic encephalopathy and helps in preventing recurrence of episodes in cirrhotic patients. In IBS-D patients, FAXCOSS improves stool consistency, reduces bloating, and normalizes gut microbiota.
âś… Indications:
- Traveler’s Diarrhea (caused by non-invasive E. coli)
- Hepatic Encephalopathy (prevention of recurrence)
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D)
- Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) (off-label)
- Chronic or recurrent Gastroenteritis
- Bloating, abdominal pain, and altered bowel habits
- Diverticular Disease-associated bowel symptoms
- Clostridium difficile relapse prevention (as adjunct therapy)
 Benefits:
- Gut-Selective Action: Stays within the intestinal tract, avoiding systemic exposure and reducing drug interactions.
- Broad-Spectrum Activity: Targets both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria linked to gut-related infections.
- Minimal Resistance Development: Due to poor absorption, there is lower systemic exposure and reduced resistance.
- Safe for Long-Term Use: Clinically proven safety for up to 6 months in HE prophylaxis.
- Fast Symptom Relief: Improves stool frequency, consistency, and relieves abdominal discomfort in IBS-D.
- Non-habit forming and well tolerated across age groups.
👨‍⚕️ Doctor’s Perspective:
“I recommend FAXCOSS (Rifaximin 400mg) as a gold-standard choice in hepatic encephalopathy prophylaxis and IBS-D cases. Its localized action in the intestine allows long-term use without systemic toxicity. It’s also extremely helpful in managing recurrent traveler’s diarrhea or unexplained bloating in patients with SIBO.”
