Product Overview
MOXICOSS KT Eye Drops is a powerful dual-action ophthalmic formulation that combines the broad-spectrum antibiotic Moxifloxacin with the potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) Ketorolac Tromethamine. This combination is specially designed for the management of eye infections accompanied by inflammation, offering both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits in a single solution.
MOXICOSS KT is ideal for treating post-operative inflammation, infected conjunctivitis, and prophylactic treatment after cataract or LASIK surgery, reducing both bacterial load and associated discomfort such as pain, swelling, and redness.
Indications
MOXICOSS KT Eye Drops are indicated for:
- Post-operative inflammation following eye surgery (e.g., cataract, LASIK)
- Bacterial conjunctivitis with inflammation
- Superficial ocular infections
- Corneal abrasions or ulcers with suspected infection
- Contact lens-related eye infections
- Ocular pain and photophobia due to inflammatory eye conditions
- Prophylactic use post-injury or eye procedure to prevent infection and reduce inflammation
Mechanism of Action
- Moxifloxacin 0.5% (5.0mg) is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial replication and leading to rapid bacterial death. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
- Ketorolac Tromethamine 0.5% (5.0mg) inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thus reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Together, they provide synergistic relief by eliminating infection and soothing inflammation, making MOXICOSS KT a go-to ophthalmic solution for post-surgical and infectious eye conditions. Our Products
