Indications

TROCOSS-F Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of:

• Bacterial Conjunctivitis
• Blepharitis with inflammation
• Superficial ocular infections
• Post-operative ocular inflammation
• Keratitis caused by susceptible bacteria
• Inflamed conditions of the eye where corticosteroids are indicated and bacterial infections are present or suspected

How TROCOSS-F Works

1. Tobramycin 0.3% is a potent aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria, leading to their death. It is effective against Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria.
2. Fluorometholone 0.1% is a synthetic corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines. It targets swelling, redness, itching, and irritation. Together, they provide both pathogen eradication and symptom relief, promoting faster healing of the eye.

Pharmacological Action

• Tobramycin binds to 30S ribosomal subunits of bacteria, blocking protein synthesis and killing the organism.
• Fluorometholone works by suppressing inflammatory response, controlling discomfort and reducing immune-mediated tissue damage.

Dosage & Administration

• Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours, or as directed by the physician.
• In severe infections, dosage may be increased to every 2 hours initially.
• Taper frequency based on clinical response.

Important: Do not discontinue prematurely to prevent bacterial resistance. Shake well before use.
